Lucas jumps awake to learn his mom is okay. The family is escorted to a plane to be flown home. People are still searching for their loved ones and bodies strewn on the ground. Maria is still on a stretcher as everyone buckles their seatbelt for the flight. Lucas tells Maria he saw Daniel safe and happy. They cry and embrace saying they love each other. Lucas removes the identification sticker from his shirt. Henry takes out Karl's letter from his pocket. Maria sees the mistaken name written on her arm. The plane takes off and the turbulence makes everyone nervous. Maria is overcome with emotion. She looks out the window to see the destruction the tsunami made.
