Rose confronts Jack and tells her that they're even now. That night, Jack walks out to the acid pad to find Rose hanging out with Red Berry, Thad and Rodney. She tells the story of how the place was designed for total freedom and then she shows old home movies. When Thad tries to kiss Rose, Jack intervenes and starts punching him. In the ensuing struggle, Thad gets thrown from the pad and gets knocked out. Kathleen runs up to him, screaming. Thad comes to and tells Kathleen that Rose planted the snake to try and kill her. Kathleen slaps Rose and the girl runs off.
