Intercut between scenes. Goldy gives Jackson some last minute instructions: don't drink, don't show your money to anyone but Gus, and if you leave with Gus, take a taxi, before Jackson goes into a nightclub to look for Gus, who is working with the gangsters. As Jackson makes his way over to the bar, Goldy and Big Kathy make a bet as to whether Jackson will screw things up. Goldy and Big Kathy peer in the window to see Jackson drinking. A drunk Jackson flashes a fat bank roll around; the club gets quiet. Gus ends up rescuing Jackson from being mugged, and pitches the gold scheme to him. Gus blindfolds Jackson and takes him to see his 'business partners.'
