Sonia ventures into a Cuban neighborhood far from home to meet the maker of the earrings. The limited English speaking mother of the jewelry maker ushers Sonia into her son's makeshift studio. It turns out to be Ramon from Hrundi's jewelry shop. He's a sculptor (mainly erotic designs) and jewelry maker on the side. Sonia returns the ring to Ramon and tells him that she wants to commission some designs.
