The initiates run, learn fighting techniques and fire guns on the roof. Tris is frustrated when she keeps missing the target. While jogging, the Dauntless see some faction-less. Peter harasses Tris, saying that that will be her fate. Christina and Tris spar. Eric calls Tris and Molly in the ring to fight until one of them surrenders. Assuming a defensive posture, Tris backs away from her opponent and steps out of the ring. Everyone looks at her. Tris gets back in the ring, but is quickly knocked out by Molly.
