Once Tris drinks, the room changes and she sees a number of her selves in a mirror. One of her selves urges her to choose before it's too late. Tris looks at a knife, steak and other objects available to her. However she's not able to choose before a menacing dog threatens her and the objects disappear. Tris assumes defensive posture and the dog seems to turn into a puppy. When a younger Tris calls the dog, it turns menacing again. Tris grabs the dog before it can attack the girl. Tris and the dog fall through the floor.
