On a street in Queens, New York in the 1980s, a shirtless boy shoots a toy gun at two other boys hanging out of an apartment window. Eddie exits a store, putting a towel over his shoulder, and argues with two men as they follow him down the street. The argument turns into a fist fight and one of the men pushes Eddie into a pile of trash bags. Chris pulls up in a car, jumps out, and punches the man. He and Eddie get into the convertible as Eddie continues to argue.
