The man with the red eyes sits alongside Charles Wallace atop the massive book. Jack and Meg yell at him to stop. The man gets Charles Wallace to use his own telekinetic powers to lift Meg in the air and hold her over the giant crack in the center of the room. Charles Wallace starts spinning Meg in the air, tormenting her. Charles Wallace gets more malicious while Meg keeps spinning. Calvin reaches out to grab Meg's hand and bring her back to safety. Calvin then grabs hold of Jack, who puts on Mrs. Who's glasses. Suddenly, the world turns to bright orange and yellow color flashes and Meg gets separated from Jack and Calvin. She falls alone.
