The man with the red eyes sits atop an enormous encyclopedia. Charles climbs up and walks on the pages. The man points out the entry for 'teratoma,' the same one Charles Wallace was reading at home at the beginning of the movie. The man then holds up a real-life example of the tumor, complete with hair and teeth. He tosses it to Charles Wallace and it disappears in his hands. Jack and Meg try to warn Charles Wallace that it's a trap. The man points to the entry on the Russian astronaut. A moment later, a real-life female astronaut in an orange suit floats up out of the massive book. She rises up in to the air, free from gravity. She re-enters the book before the man then pulls out a series of silver numbers that float through the air in a big long chain. Charles Wallace remarks that it's the Fibonacci sequence. The man gives Charles Wallace a proposition. Charles Wallace's eyes become red like the man's eyes. Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which, and the Happy Medium watch through the crystal ball from back in the cave.
