Charles Wallace leads the way into a different concrete room that appears empty. Suddenly the doors slam shut, trapping them inside. Charles Wallace notices a mirage like chamber that appears to hold Jack, their father. Meg tries to touch the chamber but her hands go right through the image. Meg starts to get upset, screaming for her father. She takes out Mrs. Who's eyeglasses and puts them on. Wearing them allows her to walk right through the mirage like image and disappear right before Calvin's and Charles Wallace's eyes.
