Meg and Charles Wallace run down a country road, passing by a small cemetery on their way to an old abandoned house nearby. They inspect the property and peer in through a crack in the wooden paneling. A crow suddenly flaps around inside, startling them. The two of them start running back in haste to get home before their mother does. A floating pair of eyeglasses turns to watch them leave the property.
