The next morning, Dana suddenly wakes up in bed nestled between Meg and Charles Wallace. The three of them talk about Mrs. Whatsit in the kitchen. Dana tells them not to leave the house or let anyone in while she's dropping off the twins at soccer practice. Dana walks out the screen door and leaves the driveway in her gold Pontiac minivan. Meg and Charles Wallace quickly get dressed to leave.
