Sullivan smells the glass of water during the presentation. Others yawn but Sullivan is hyperaware of the speech. Waiters begin looking at attendants eyes with flashlights, including Sullivan. The presentation changes into wave patterns, the lights go out, and scientists enter pushing carts. A monitor is placed on Sullivan's head and probes placed in his nose and temple. Sullivan tries to remain still and unresponsive will be probed and pricked. The images are used to brainwash him into thinking his is not Morgan Sullivan but his alias with a different life. The monitors are removed, scientists leave, and presentation concludes with everyone clapping. A man asks Sullivan for the time.
