Fatty makes a quilt. The Puppeteer brings Chan home, flinging him into the house. The Puppeteer tells Chan to clean, giving him a broom. Chan sweeps dust on The Puppeteer and breaks his things. The Puppeteer asks if he knows how to sweep. Chan shows The Puppeteer how he can fight with a broom and asks him to teach him how to sweep. The Puppeteer agrees and sweeps the room, while Chan sits and drinks and smokes a cigarette. The Puppeteer realizes he was tricked and flips Chan with the broom. The Puppeteer accidentally hits Fatty with the broom. Chan yells when he sees Fatty. Fatty sits on The Puppeteer for hitting her with the broom. Fatty tells Chan not to be afraid of her and asks him to pour some water for her. Chan accidentally pours out the water. The Puppeteer asks Chan if he can cook.
