Chan's father gives him a package to give to his teacher for his birthday. Yu Ping carries Chan in a sedan chair. Ta Sha and his henchmen set up fireworks, which they plan to shoot at Chan. One of the henchmen extinguishes a firework stick on his head and Ta Sha slaps him. Chan jumps off the sedan chair and says he wants to carry Yu Ping, but then carries another man instead. Ta Sha blows a whistle, and his henchmen fire the fireworks. Chan and Yu Ping fight with Ta Sha. Chan makes Ta Sha swallow his whistle, then uses him as a human shield as the henchmen fire more fireworks at him. The henchmen advance on Chan and Yu Ping with a string of fireworks. Chan and Yu Ping use shields to protect themselves. Ta Sha sends centipedes made out of fireworks after the brothers. Ta Sha shoots a cannon, then gets wrapped in fireworks by Chan, but Yu Ping stops him from lighting the fuse. The fuse is accidentally lit anyway and the fireworks go off.
