In the kitchen, Heath kisses Carolina's neck as she opens the wine bottle. Carolina kisses him back. They return to the dining room and Maine points out Carolina's smeared lipstick. Millicent says grace, asking God for good things for her family. Millicent says Carolina is "the best part of me". Carolina asks Ted to carve the turkey and Millicent hands him the knife. Ted wonders which turkey to carve first and asks Albert to help him. Heath talks to Maine, then asks Georgia about the father of her baby. Heath and Ted talk about Heath's work in advertising. Heath asks about Ted's job and he says he's a drunk. Ted shows the AA sobriety token that he wears around his neck and the family applauds him. The dog escapes Millicent's purse and runs across the table, eating food off a plate. Millicent tells Carolina why she couldn't leave the dog at home. Heath wipes his mouth with a napkin.
