Prisoners work construction hammering and moving pieces of concrete. John hears Gomez screaming and rushes to find him being pinned by Maddox. Maddox and John fight. The three are taken to solitary-standing surrounded by lasers--until the person who started the fight is named. Gomez sweats and wants to tell on Maddox. John interrupts and takes blame.
