Abigail sits behind Ray's desk. Rottmayer encourages Ray, and asks him why he wanted to spend his life in prisons. Ray tells Rottmayer about his past as a lawyer who put a man in prison who vowed to escape. Abigail looks through Ray's desk and finds a child's stick figure drawing of a family, the same drawing that Ray has scratched into the table. Ray says putting people in prison wasn't good enough, he wanted to make sure himself that they stayed there. Rottmayer proposes working together to escape.
