At the motel, Gabriel buys a sandwich from a vending machine. He takes a bite and spits it out. He sees a large, glowing star and walks towards it to find that it is on a water tower. A homeowner nearby notices Gabriel and he runs away. At a diner, Gabriel hears a cough that sounds like Pete's. He sees a blind woman through frosted glass and looks down to see that she is talking to a dog. Gabriel follows the blind woman back to her house. She says Gabriel's name, revealing herself to be Donna.
