Davis and the team find that Wormmon is seriously injured. Wormmon tells Ken its not too late to be sorry for his deeds. Davis unleashes a magical Crest, the Crest of Kindness. The Crest of Kindness floats over to Ken. Ken doesn't understand why he got the Crest. Ken sadly holds Wormon who dies in his arms. Wormmon's body disappears, Ken is devastated. Ken laments why he keeps losing people like his brother. Ken has a flashback of his brother's death. Ken feels helpless; he cries heavily in defeat. Davis tells Ken their are still people who love him, to not walk from his problems. A crying Ken walks away into the desert. Davis shouts for Ken to join his team.
