Oswalt goes back outside for his flashlight and is threatened by a snarling dog. Dealing with the dog, he misses seeing the ghosts that watch him. Once inside Tracy confronts Oswalt, she wants to move and wants him to quit his writings because of what it is doing to the family. Oswalt reassures his wife that this story is much bigger than they could imagine, promising her wealth and protection once book becomes success. Oswalt and Tracy kiss.
