Michelette has seen footage of Julie's grief after Alex's crash and knows that Alex wouldn't shoot Julie. Julies asks where McCandless is and Michelette takes them next door to see McCandless' body. Michelette explains that McCandless suddenly died and left Michelette with the task of overseeing the retrieval of Alex's body. However Michelette wants McCandless' job so he interfered with Vacendak capturing Alex. Michelette fires Julie. Alex and Julie take the elevator to the lobby, but Michelette has ordered his men to kill them when they arrive. However the security guards and Vacendak 's mercenaries get into a gunfight. Julie sest the elevator to go to the 100th floor, there's a fire escape up there. But the elevator overrides their request and goes to the 200th floor, where the spirtual switchboard is located.
