Bloom and Penelope wait to meet with the kidnappers. Bloom enters an abandoned theater looking for Stephen. Bloom finds a beaten, bloodied Stephen, who tells him that Diamond Dog has crossed them for revenge. Diamond Dog taunts Bloom over the phone. Bloom and the kidnapper shoot at each other. Stephen protects Bloom and gets shot. The kidnapper escapes. Stephen pretends to die and then reveals the con. Bloom and Stephen hug and Stephen tells Bloom that he's done.
