Jeff is at a diner. He calls his wife to tell her she's OK. They talk about whether or not they should get divorced. Then Jeff goes outside to his car to find a man in his back seat with a gun pointed at him. The man tells him to just drive. He takes him to a hidden back alley and hooded men from another van get in and tell him not to do anything stupid. They handcuff him and show him that they're holding his wife and daughter.
