The next day, Rose's bed sheet has blood on it from the loss of her virginity. Jack sits in the grass looking at it hanging on the washing line, smoking nervously. He cries. Rose watches this from her window. Jack runs inside and yells at her. Then they hear Kathleen scream because the snake is in her room. Jack loads the shotgun and Kathleen runs outside. Thad accuses Rose of trying to kill his mom with the snake. Then he calls his brother a faggot.
