Outside Berta, the doctor's apartment, Ricky is jittery and wants to return home, but Marina begs him. Berta gives Marina a prescription for her toothache. Noticing that Marina is acting weird, Berta wonders if she's back on drugs. Ricky stares Marina down and Marina says it's because of her toothache. Berta says she'll give Marina a shot and for a brief moment while Ricky checks on Berta's crying babies, Marina tries to whisper to Berta to call the cops, but Berta doesn't get it.
