Robin sneaks into the church service. Marion hands out alms to the poor after the service. She tells Robin that Nottingham is mounting an army. Robin lets the Bishop know that he's alive. Nottingham tells Marion that he plans to hang Robin and offers to take her under his protection. Marion declines. Nottingham gives Marion a small dagger for protection. Bishop Hereford tells Robin about when his father died; Lord Locksley didn't deny that he worshiped the devil. Robin comes face to face with Nottingham and slashes his cheek before escaping on horseback.
