The soldiers massacre the rest of the prisoners, shooting them with machine guns. As they go to leave, the baby starts crying. So the soldiers surround the boat. Josh hides. He has to cover the baby's mouth to keep her from crying. The soldier finds a cat and thinks it's the noise the baby made. They leave. Josh and the baby are safe but she isn't breathing. After a moment, she starts breathing again and Josh cries with joy.
