Jake recommits to getting Timmy to talk. It doesn't work. Then Sylvie shows up with a cut hand and says "goddammit". That gets Timmy talking, he begins reciting more phrases from the night of the murder. Sylvie thinks her parents were having sex when they were killed based on what was said. Jake wonders why Timmy wasn't hurt. Then Timmy draws stars, like sheriff's badges. Jake goes to see Rivers and accuses him of having an affair with Mrs. Warden. Sheriff Rivers says he was there the day of the murder, but he didn't kill her.
