Brandon works at a 900 number, recording the greetings in an office filled with cubicles. He gets promoted to doing sports picks. Brandon visits a Vegas bookie and gets inside information. He begins recording more gambling tips and becomes the biggest 900 number in town. Brandon gets a rejection letter for his try-out to get back into football. Brandon goes about his life. Walter Abrams, a bigshot in the New York world of sports calls Brandon and offers him a job.
