After the bandits have moved on, the Rangers go back for their dead. The bandits have strung them up. For the first time Leander seems on the verge of crying; he orders them to cut the dead Rangers down. Lincoln notices two women, Perdita and another girl also strung up. He begins to cut them down and realizes that Perdita's alive.
