When Lincoln and George arrive in Brownsville, some local men are gathering to form a vigilante group. Leander rides up and says by order of the Governor the Texas Rangers have been reformed. They can apply to Leander if they're interested in being Rangers or they can go home. He'll give them a minute to disband. The leader of the vigilantes Vigilante Vic pulls his gun and Leander shoots him dead. Leander says to come talk to him or his associates Frank Bones or Sgt. John Armstrong if anyone's interested in being a Ranger.
