The crowd gathering at the Curtain is huge. Backstage the actors prep for the play. Makepeace tries to deter people from going to the theater. The play starts. Meanwhile, Viola and her Nurse hurry towards the Curtain. Onstage the crowd is getting into the play, backstage, there's a problem. Sam, who was playing Juliet, voice has dropped. Viola and Nurse take their place in the audience. Philip comes into the audience to tell Richard that they have no Juliet. Viola overhears. Richard offers her the part when he realizes that she knows it. Wessex goes to the Curtain looking for Viola. The audience is stunned when she appears on stage. However after pause, the actors run with it. Will plays Romeo to Viola's Juliet and as they act, they are really saying the words to each other. Meanwhile Tilney and' his guards march towards the Curtain. The play is a rousing success. Will and Viola kiss in the background as the actors take their bows.
