The actors rehearse. Wessex shows up and duels with Will. After a dramatic fight, Will disarms Wessex and stands over him, accusing him of killing Marlowe. Ned steps in and says that Marlowe died in a fight over a bill. Wessex says that he rejoiced in Marlowe's death, but didn't kill him. Will lets Wessex up and he stumbles out. Tilney comes in accusing them of indecency, one of their actors in female. John drops a mouse down Thomas' shirt. Viola freaks out, pulling off her wig in the process, revealing that she is indeed a woman. Tilney announces that the theatre will be closed. Devastated, Viola apologizes to everyone before leaving.
