At the Rose theatre Will gives a speech to a crowd of actors while Philip, Fennyman and his henchmen look on. Fennyman interrupts Will's speech just as a popular actor Ned Alleyn and some other actors burst in. When Ned is assured of Mercutio's important role in the play, he agrees to play him. Thomas is still missing and Will still wants him for Romeo.
