The El train comes and the initiates begin running for it and hop on. Tris is barely able to hop on in time. She sits next to Christina. The subway rushes through Chicago. A leader warns the recruits to get ready. The new recruits begin to jump from the rushing train landing onto the roof of a building. Zoe and Christina jump together. They make it, skidding into the gravel on the roof. Christina laughs while Tris checks her jacket for holes.
