Gwain is disappointed to find out the king's army is so small. Arthur challenges Gwain to a sword fight. Gwain pulls out two swords and fences with Arthur skillfully, quickly winning. He hits Arthur's sword with one of his, shattering Arthur's sword. Merlin picks up the pieces of Arthur's sword. Gwain suggests Merlin go see the bladesmith Caliburn, the finest swordmaker in all the land.
