Dap shakes Ender awake, telling him it's graduation day. Dap salutes Ender and says "good luck". Ender calls his troops to attention. Officials gather to watch the battle. Graff tells Ender that if he wins, he'll be promoted to battle commander of the entire fleet. Ender sends his troops to their stations and begins the battle simulation. Ender and his troops face off with a large alien ship above the Formic home planet. Ender hesitates and everyone looks at him. Ender backs the simulator off from the alien ship and begins to give instructions to his troops. Smaller space fighter ships deploy and gather in formation, then attack the alien ship. The alien ship transforms into a swarm. Ender orders Petra to fire her weapon and she does, destroying the enemy.
