Graff angrily questions Gwen about the game on a video screen. Gwen tells him that the game reflects Ender's emotional state. Graff tells Gwen to erase the game, then gets a warning on the screen about approaching enemy ships. Graff talks to Ender about his problems following orders, then promotes him, offering him his own army of "misfits" to lead. Ender is shown to his new quarters by Dap. Dap salutes Ender. Ender looks out the round window of his quarters at Earth and outer space.
