Ray is taken to solitary confinement. Ray watches a guard with a pack of cigarettes as another guard places him in his cell and removes his cuffs. Ray looks at the skylight grate in the ceiling of his new cell. Guards watch Ray on video monitors. Guards smoke cigarettes outside. A guard brings Ray to the toilet, where he makes wet balls of toilet paper, which he hides. Ray is served lunch and pulls apart a milk carton. Ray asks Roag for the time.
