At the launchpad, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins ride an elevator up to the rocket. The flies stow away inside their helmets. Amos and the mothers fly into a TV control truck to watch the launch. Nat's mom faints again. The flies learn that they will be gone a week, to their surprise. The rocket launches.
