Afterwards, at a restaurant, Tyler's mom Diane reflects on how nice it is that the family is all together, that Michael would like this fact. Diane encourages Caroline to tell Tyler about the success of an art portrait she has done in school. Charles coldly asks Tyler to pass the sugar and uses Caroline to throw jabs at Tyler. Tyler and his dad get into an uncomfortable conversation. Tyler leaves the restaurant.
