Having learned of John's informant status, the cartel simultaneously pulls up beside John's truck, John is shot in the leg. Alarmed, John relays Pintera's cell phone number to Agent Cooper with instructions to trace it. John is able to evade his pursuants, crashing into numerous cars on the highway.
