Using the element of surprise, Daniel attacks a gang member from behind, subduing him with a chokehold. He breaks into the gang's apartment and takes out two more thugs with guns before at last reaching Malik. Daniel shoots Malik, who collapses against a wall. Daniel is able to get a phone number for Pintera from Malik.
