Darryl taps into the neighbor's wiring to harness their power; the neighbor's dog threatens Darryl, who freezes. At less than 10 minutes to survive, Roy is marched to the guillotine and prepared to be executed. Diane's shouting make Darryl spring into action. At less than 2 minutes before the 24 hours is up, Darryl plugs in his machine and is able to speak into the TV world. The execution stops. Helen convinces the mob that it's the voice of God speaking and Darryl plays along. He orders the mob to release Roy. Meanwhile Mr. Spike gets angry that someone's messing with his programming. Darryl's machine shorts out, but Roy and Helen have survived the 24 hours and have to be released. One of the underlings points out to Mr. Spike that only Roy signed the contract, not Helen, so only Roy has to be released. Roy suddenly disappears from the French Revolution show, he's zapped home.
