Darryl and Diane each go to sleep over at friend's houses, they hope their parents who have been fighting lately will have some quality time. Helen suggests to Roy that they go away, she feels closed off from him. However, Roy won't quit watching TV long enough to talk to Helen. Frustrated, Helen throws a trophy at the TV, breaking it. Roy begins watching a small, old TV.
