The next morning, Bobby wakes up in the cabin. He puts his shoes on and goes outside, calling out for Mr. Summers, but the old man's gone. Bobby lays on the grass letting caterpillars climb over his face. He looks at bugs. Then Mr. Summers appears with bags from a trip to town. He gives Bobby boots, a sleeping bag, a trowel and some other items, including a Swiss Army knife, which Bobby is really excited about.
