At the diner, Frankie meets with Billy and shows him the money. When Frankie isn't looking, Billy distracts him and his fellow con man switches out his case, taking the money without Frankie knowing. Teddy, who is sitting at the bar sees it. After Billy leaves, Frankie realizes he's been conned and takes off running after him, but it's no use. Billy is gone.
