Frank is arrested for assaulting a policeman. He tells the detective that some men tried to kill him and tells him about Elise. He claims the men mixed him up with Elise's lover and tried to kill him. Frank is locked in a cell while the detective checks out his story. Late at night the detective returns; he confirmed Frank's story, keeping Frank tied up, he hustles him out of the jail, telling Frank that he's not safe.
