Sylvie thinks she's deciphered the meaning of the playing card mutilations. Timmy can do perfect voice impressions of anyone he hears and she thinks it's related. She demonstrates this at a seafood restaurant that uses a PA system. Then they go back to Jake's house and get Timmy to talk using TV shows as a way to get through to him. Karen cooks them dinner. Sylvie helps and there's some tension between them because Karen thinks Sylvie's crushing on Jake; they talk it out. Jake goes to see Sheriff Rivers at his home and they have no suspects. Jake tells him what Mrs. Warden talked about in therapy; she presented her husband as perfect. But then why was she having an affair?
